Hailing from Southern Appalachia, Jami Padgett (she/they) is an Instructor of English at the University of Arkansas. Her interests and areas of study include Literature of the American South, poetry and poetry in translation, monster theory, and the horror genre.
She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas and a BA in Comparative Religious Studies from Young Harris College. Her poems appear in Poetry Daily, Booth, Nashville Review, and McNeese Review. When she’s not writing, she’s trying her hand at learning a new language or new artistic practices—or playing video games alongside her partner, the poet Emma Thomas Jones.
