What is a Literacy Exchange?
Literacy Exchanges are workshops meant to provide tools to advance literacy in our community and ourselves. They focus on techiques and frameworks, lead by leading experts in their subject matter.
What are common topics of Literacy Exchange workshops?
While the topic will vary, the focus is always on tools and frameworks to advance literacy work (for more deeper exploration of specific topics, consider exploring our Possibilities Hubs).
Examples of previous Literacy Exchanges include:

What does the a Literacy Exchange cost?
No charge – it’s absolutely free (seriously!). The CLC is committed to resourcing all Literacy Exchange workshops with the appropriate educational materials, space, and other resources necessary to engage in a fruitful and transformative deep conversation on the topic of choice.
Are the Literacy Exchange sessions accessible?
Yes! When you sign up to attend a Literacy Exchange event, we’ll have a list of accommodations available to choose from, including live CART captioning and ASL interpretation.
If you don’t see an accommodation that fits your needs, please reach out to our team at brownlit@uark.edu and we will do our best to accomodate you.
How are Literacy Exchange Instructors selected?
Instructors are hand-picked by our staff at the CLC, with a focus on expertise in their subject matter. Instructors are typically invite only and heavily vetted.
