Endless Possibilities to Explore Literacy

The Possibilities Hub presents seminars, reading groups, or a series of talks that explore a topic through and/or about literacy to expand individual and communal capacity to understand what literacy work can be and do today.

The Possibilities Hub is where we explore literacy through hot topics and understand what we as a community can do to advance literacy today.

Each hub is typically a 6-8 month seminar series led by experts, activists, and community members who are deeply involved in the topic.

What is the Possibilities Hub?

The Possibilities Hub presents seminars, reading groups, or a series of talks that explore a topic through and/or about literacy to expand individual and communal capacity to understand what literacy work can be and do today.

What does the Possibilities Hub cost?

No charge – it’s absolutely free (seriously!). The CLC is committed to resourcing all Possibilities Hub seminars with the appropriate educational materials, space, and other resources necessary to engage in a fruitful and transformative deep conversation on the topic of choice.

Are the Possibilities Hub sessions accessible?

Yes! When you sign up to attend a Possibilities Hub event, we’ll have a list of accommodations available to choose from, including live CART captioning and ASL interpretation.

What are the benefits of running a Possibilities Hub?

There are lots of benefits for Possibilities Hub facilitators. Possibilities Hubs allow us to build strong connections, inform around topics you care about,  and advance literacy in our communities. 

In addition, facilitators also see a honorarium of 1k-1.5k / week during their program.

What does the Possibilities Hub look like for facilitators?

We strive to support facillitators to make the Hub as successful for everyone involved. Besides the honorium, you can expect a 6-8 week committment for the duration of the Hub. We’ll provided needed resources – including free books for the whole group – and supporting the acquistion of guest speakers (we pay them).
